Our vision for the world

It is world where every business contributes to societal wellbeing without compromising nature, delivering essential services—renewable energy, nutritious food, thriving ecosystems, safe spaces, health care, equality, and cultural vitality—to all people, not just a select few.

Our contribution to this vision

Through who we work with – We want to work with businesses that are driven by the needs of the society; supporting them on their journey to make sure they keep on doing the right thing even when the outside world tells them otherwise; and supporting businesses that are burned out by the idea of more is more.

Through what we offer – We have three low-cost services that are attunded to client, two which are short and can move projects further without the need for more timely and costly service. We give away resources such as playbooks entirely for free. We share resources such as reports and articles as part of our work with clients, and only if they want to. We also operate on the skill-for-a-skill model for those who are in financial difficulty.

Through how we run our business – We recognize the risks that can undermine our mission—global competition, growing workloads, and market pressure for unchecked growth—and we actively manage them through transparent policies and mindful decision‑making. By staying grounded, measuring our carbon footprint, and choosing ethical suppliers, we ensure that our growth never harms ecosystems, communities, or future generations.

What does purchasing policy look like at Between Natures?

Purchase from vendors holding at least one recognized sustainability credential (B‑Corp, Green Key, BIO). However, as we support small businesses we know that they might not afford those labels, so if they are not present we base our decision around these three criteria: local and women‑led or owned.
